NEIAOR and affiliate members presented a $500 check to Elijah Haven on Oct. 23, 2018, from the proceeds of our bus trip to FireKeepers Casino on Oct. 4th. Elijah Haven is an intervention center for the victims of domestic violence. They assisted 232 victims (90 adults and 142 children) in 2017 and 222 victims (84 adults and 138 children) already through the 3rd quarter of 2018. We are proud to be able to financially donate to this non-profit organization in their continuing efforts to educate and assist domestic violence victims. The Lunch ‘n’ Learn on Identity Theft on Sept. 20th was very worthwhile! It was presented by Fran Settanni from Factual Data and sponsored by Todd Miller from Beacon Credit Union. limited to marijuana, meth, and phentanol. We learned what to be aware of when showing properties, what
ingredients are used in making meth, opening containers used to mix meth ingredients can blind you, the
residue can burn your skin, rehabing a meth house, and lots more. The event was sponsored by Cyndi Andrew,

Great Lunch ‘n’ Learn session on Human Trafficking on May 17! Jeremy Greenlee from the Indiana Trafficking Victim Assistance Program explained what human trafficking is and what the different kinds of trafficking are. Surprisingly, the biggest percentage of traffickers are family members! Often victims do not identify as victims and will not ask for help! We learned about 14 red flags that might identify a victim of human trafficking and how the A-M-P Model constitutes human trafficking. If you suspect human trafficking, text “HELP” or “INFO” to 233733 or call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888. The event was sponsored by Farmers State Bank.

Trivia Night 2018 was a success! All three prizes were donated back to Noble House! The winners of the 50/50 drawing and Heads & Tails also donated their proceeds back to Noble House. What a great bunch of people! Trivia Night – what a blast! Delicious lasagna dinner provided by Sue Parmeter, LaGrange American Legion, 10 rounds of trivia questions with individual prizes, a Dum-Dum prize, and a grand prize consisting of a bottle of wine plus gift card from Beacon Credit Union, and LOTS of laughter! One of the teams from Farmers State Bank walked away as the grand prize winners but we won’t embarrass the table winning the Dum-Dum prize by mentioning their names. The recipient of the proceeds is The Farm Project, a faith-based children’s mission in LaGrange County.
